The short version
Landchecker covers a wide range of property work: planning maps, sales history, high resolution aerial imagery, title and document searches, and branded reports. It is used by agents, valuers, developers and planners.
PlanInsight does less, and aims it at people who draw and design sites. Every lookup gives a CAD-ready DXF with the boundary, contours, buildings, watercourses and hazard overlays, plus BYDA enquiries and DA history for the lot.

When Landchecker is the better fit
If your work involves sales evidence, aerial imagery, ordering titles, or branded client reports, Landchecker covers far more of that than PlanInsight does. Its free Starter plan is also a useful way to check zoning and overlays for a single user.
When PlanInsight is the better fit
Surveyors and engineers spend most of their desktop time getting a site into CAD and finding out what is in the ground and on the record. PlanInsight is built for that: the DXF arrives with boundary and contours already layered, the BYDA enquiry lodges from the same page, and the DA history comes straight from the council. A plan covers a small team for less than one Standard seat on Landchecker’s monthly pricing.
