When you’re planning works near a property, you need to know what utility infrastructure is underground. Normally this requires manually submitting a form to Before You Dig Australia (BYDA). PlanInsight lodges a BYDA enquiry on your behalf and downloads utility response PDFs when ready. Responses are valid within BYDA’s 30-day dig window. For project-specific excavation compliance, you must lodge your own BYDA enquiry.
No, notifications are in-app only. When new development applications are found for properties you’ve bookmarked, you’ll see a notification next time you log in.

A full Kanban board built into PlanInsight for managing property-related work. Tasks move through five stages: Backlog, To Do, In Progress, In Review, and Done. Each task has a title, description, priority (Low/Medium/High), due date, assignee, and labels. You can link any task directly to a property address in PlanInsight, so your team always knows which site a task relates to.
